Unboxing

이번 전시는 상품이 세상을 만나는 첫 순간을 가리키는 ‘언박싱(UNBOXING)’을 주제로 카우스(KAWS) 컬렉션을 선보인다.
기다려온 상품을 마침내 개봉하는 순간을 타인과 공유하는 행위인 언박싱은 온라인 구매와 배송으로 이어지는 소비구조가 확산됨에 따라 일상의 즐거운 이벤트 중 하나로 자리 잡았다.
전시를 만드는 과정에서의 언박싱 또한 작품이 전시공간 및 전시를 만들어 가는 사람들과 직접 관계를 맺는 첫 순간을 가장 뜻깊은 과정으로 표현했다.

This exhibition shows the collection of KAWS whose theme is “UNBOXING”, capturing the first moment when the product meets the world.

Unboxing, the behavior that shares the first moment unpacking the products with others, has become one of the enjoyable events in daily life as the consumer habits which consist of online purchases with online system are spread.

The process of unboxing the works for this exhibition also helps make the exhibition much more meaningful, showing the first moment to form the direct relationships with the exhibition space and people who were designing and making the exhibition.
