VAKKI

빠키는 작업을 통해 삶이라는 틀에 속박된 행위들을 넘어선 움직임에서 해방과 자기 창조의 가능성을 발견한다. 그러므로 빠키 작업에서 움직임은 곧 존재한다는 명제의 기본 조건이 되는 동시에 존재를 초월하는 퍼포먼스로써 해석될 수 있다. 작가 특유의 강항 색감의 작업들과 융합된 움직임은 시각적인 유희를 선사할 뿐만 아니라 순환, 확장, 수렴이라는 경험으로 관객들을 이끈다. 때문에 빠키의 작업은 종종 놀이의 개념으로 풀이되며 그만큼 즐거운 몰입을 제안한다. 이번 전시에 소개되는 작품들은 관람자의 움직임을 영상에 출력해 내는 인터렉티브 미디어 작업에서 부터 동작에 반응하는 착각을 불러일으키는 렌티큘러 작품까지 그동안 빠키가 구상한 움직임을 다양한 패턴과 방식으로 보여주는 작업들로 구성되어있다.

Through her works, she finds the possibility of liberation and self-creation from the movement beyond the activities bound by the framework of life. Therefore, in Vakki works, movement can be interpreted as a basic condition of the proposition that it will soon exist and as a performance beyond existence.The movement combined with the work of artist's distinctive color and color brings not only visual amusement but also the audience with experience of circulation, expansion and convergence. Therefore, the work of Vakki is often interpreted as a concept of play, and suggests a pleasant immersion.The works introduced in this exhibition consist of works showing various movements of Vakki in various patterns and ways, from interactive media works that output the viewer's movements to images, and lenticular works that evoke illusions that react to the movements have.
