<작업장에서 죽고 싶어 내가 태어난 곳>, 서울, 한국, 2020

1983년 발표한 Dalida의 곡 <mourir sur scene>에서 영감을 얻은 작품이다. 가수로써 무대 위에서 죽고 싶다는 내용을 담고 있는 곡으로, 작가는 아티스트로서 작업장에서 죽고 싶다는 내용으로 개사해서 앞으로의 포부를 선언한다. 불어인 원곡 가사를 구글번역기를 통해 한국어로 번역하고 그 과정에서 생기는 오역, 직설적 어법 등을 스스럼없이 담아 작가가 직접 노래를 부르는 행위를 통해 한 개인의 메세지가 전달되는 과정이 언어, 문화, 기술 등의 필터링을 거치며 얼마나 복잡하고 비어있는 결과물로 이어질 수 있는지를 확인해본다. 더불어 전시장에서 행해지는 스탬핑과 즉흥적인 문장 도출 퍼포먼스로 ‘의지 전달’ 의 여러 방법들을 즐겁게 실험해본다.
