Galaxy Odyssey-마츠모토 레이지의 오래된 미래

2018년 6월 15일부터 10월 30일까지 일본 국민 만화가 마츠모토 레이지의 <GALAXY ODYSSEY - 마츠모토 레이지의 오래된 미래> 전시를 개최한다. 소년 시절부터 미래 세계, 무한한 우주를 향한 꿈을 꾸며 만화가로서 꿈을 키웠던 그는 ‘은하철도 999’, ‘우주해적 캡틴 하록’, ‘천년여왕’ 등의 작품으로 수많은마니아를 양산해냈다. 이번 전시는 마츠모토 레이지의 80주년 특별전으로, 그의 작품 중 추억의 명작 만화 ‘은하철도 999’의 작가와 우주관에 집중한 미디어 아트 전시이다. 작가의 아카이브는 물론 하림,디구루,송호준,신남전기,윤제호, 장인표,ZIPCY 등 국내 영향력 있는 아티스트들의 다채로운 오마주 작품이 매니아 문화의 메카, 용산전자상가에서 펼쳐진다.

<Galaxy Odyssey - Matsumoto Leiji’s Old Future>, is an exhibition which is about Matsumoto Leiji, Japanese Legendary Illustrator/ animator, is open from 15th June till 30th October. From boyhood, he was dreaming of a boundless universe that led to become a manga artist. He then has worked on remarkable artworks include 'Galaxy Express 999', 'Space Pirate Captain Harlock' and 'Millennial Queen’ and there are so many manias. This exhibition is a special exhibition of Matsumoto Leiji’s 80th anniversary and a media art exhibition focusing on the artist and his philosophy of 'Galaxy Express 999'.The artist's archives as well as diverse homage works from domestic influential artists such as Hareem, Dguru, Song HoJun, Shin Nam Jean Gi, Yoon Jae Ho, Jang In-Pyo, and ZIPCY are unveiled at Yongsan electronics shopping arcade.
